The George Washington University School of Engineering and Applied Science is a member of the Cadence University Program. This program provides a wide range of high-level electrical engineering design, simulation, and analysis tools used by the leading developers in industry and research. Please note information in this web page only documents products provided through the Cadence University Program.

The Cadence products provided through participation in the Cadence University Program are an essential resource in meeting the following two educational objectives for the School’s Electrical and Computer Engineering undergraduate programs:

Likewise, SEAS uses Cadence products as an essential resource for the graduate Computer Engineering program that focuses on Microelectronics and VLSI Systems.

Course descriptions for both graduate and undergraduate classes using Cadence products are:

ECE 2110 Circuit Theory
ECE 4140 VLSI Design and Simulation
ECE 4150 ASIC-Mixed-Signal Design and Testing of VLSI Circuits
ECE 6218 Advanced Analog VLSI Circuit Design
ECE 6213 Modeling of VLSI Circuits
ECE 6214 High-Level VLSI Design Methodology
ECE 6216 RF/VLSI Circuit Design
ECE 6215 Introduction to MEMS and NEMS
