Campus-Wide Computing Services
SEAS faculty, staff and students have access to a number of computing services throughout the university.
The Division of Information Technology (DIT) is the chief provider of technology infrastructure, services and applications at GW. The Division of IT works with students, faculty, staff and departments across the university to provide advanced technology solutions, from Internet and phone connections in offices and residence halls to software that supports admissions, online registration and other aspects of day-to-day business.
GW's Division of Information Technology publishes a yearly guide to student services that covers information on everything from setting up computing accounts to technology support specifically for students, residence hall technology amenities, academic and classroom technologies, computer security and more. The Fall 2016 techKNOW magazine is available now.
Academic Technologies (AT) identifies, develops, implements and supports a variety of innovative technology for the GW community, such as Blackboard, ColonialCast Lecture Capture, classroom technology support and the GW Mobile App.
The Instructional Technology Lab assists faculty and graduate teaching assistants as they explore existing and emerging technologies in teaching and learning.
A full list of GW's information technology-related policies and procedures is available on the Division of Information Technology's website.
