We assist faculty and researchers who need to host and manage servers as part of a research project. We also manage a VMWare farm and can deploy and manage virtual servers to reduce datacenter footprint as well as hardware, power and cooling costs.
Data Center Facilities
The server room is located on the B2 level of the Science & Engineering Hall and contains storage, servers and networking, which support the SEAS Computing Facility services, as well as several research clusters and servers.
The university also has enterprise-class data centers on the Foggy Bottom and Virginia Science and Technology campuses. Both data centers are managed by the Division of Information and Technology (DIT) and can host SEAS servers if necessary.
Contact us if you need to use either of the data center facilities.
