The Studio Design Lab is located in Tompkins 201 and can seat 39 students. Traditional lecture-based courses are taught in this lab, but it can also accommodate collaborative teaching and learning. Classrooms are equipped with instructional technology that allows instructors to display materials and incorporate multimedia into their courses.
Faculty can have the tables configured in rows or hexagons for collaborative work. 39 laptops, Dell Precision 7520 Intel i7-7700HQ CPU (four cores) with 32 GB RAM, and 12 electrical engineering carts are available for use in the lab upon request. The technology in this lab includes a document camera, three ceiling mounted projectors, lecture capture, recording and live stream capability, video conferencing, and wireless presentation. This lab also has floor-to-ceiling dry erase walls.
